Review: Lyka Pet Food
Lyka Pet Food said it’s the freshest dog food in Australia. We tested them, and here it was. Pretty Fluffy was putting together a batch of dog meals that would be dipped in kale quinoa, sweet potatoes, and all kinds of superfoods – before we made it. Lyka is Australia’s popular dog food delivery. It claims to be the freshest in Australia’s history. It’s not an initial – delivery service for your dog… but it stands to the advantage of Uber Eats for your pet… but much safer than Uber.
It’s time to rethink dog food.
Lyka’s leading veterinarian Dr. Matthew Muir formulates recipes that put importance on nutrition, not shelf life. We always take fresh whole foods in our food. Roxy and Sybil return to the act of walking, and they chase their ball around like they’re young now. In fact, Ollie had stomach problems that vets were actually unable to help with. Despite eating lyka food, all these difficulties are under control. The pair apparently outlasted their age. Roxy’s fur babe MICHELLE Ollied has returned. Olly’s fudge is usually meat-derived food anyway!
How the plan works
They offer meal plans and portions the right for your particular dog. Want a Sniff Test? Are there tests to take? Test our starter kit! Food Served to Puppers Freshly Cooked is free. Your plans are flexible and may be paused or canceled at any time. We build the box to suit your puppers lifestyle requirements. The box is customized according to pupper profile and lifestyle profiles and needs to be customized with their needs.
Meals Fresh, Ethical, Balanced
Every lunch from Lyka consists of meals that are specially created and made for your puppy’s optimal health and welfare. Each sachet is nutritionally balanced so that it can meet your dog’s nutritional needs. It also includes Vitamins, minerals, and good fats. Meat products are supplied locally and produced from local Australia’s farmers with dry products such as oil and seeds also source locally where possible. The meats are either grass-fed: beef and lamb or free-range: chicken. The meals are vacuum-packed and freezer friendly (they last up – 2 years), and each is prepared separately. They are so good! Every meal had four paws and more please from Butters!
Our Lyka experience
Our first orders with Lyka were delivered in a modern and robust box with eco-friendly packaging. It contained a packed meal pack, recipes, recipe cards, and transitional supplement powder. Open a food sachet for serving. Nothing was simpler. Every aspect was beautiful – from the easy read recipe cards. The food pouch itself was even equipped with a handy food saver Seal-In strap which keeps your opened bags fresher longer. As with each change from one food source to another, Lyka advised a gradual change from Butters’ current meals to his Lyka plan. It’s done slowly and steadily designed for your puppy. We began with half his meals as Lyka and added half his old food until we could use only the Lyka food.
Potatoes, chicken, eggs, chicken meal (fresh), canola oil (preserved with mixed tocopherols), flaxseed powder (fresh), seaweed extract (natural source of iodine), brewers yeast, salt
Lyka has always used potatoes that are human-grade! Chickens are from local farms. All Chickens receive no artificial growth hormones or antibiotics ever! They have been fed a nutritionally complete diet that meets all Australian Standards AS-2782:2012 for pet food manufacture – this is nicer than most human foods you can buy at supermarkets. Why do they put preservatives in?? Lyka foods are multi-layered sealed plastic to keep them fresh and tasty for your puppers!
They offer a free trial pack, which is enough for about 14 days. That way, you get to taste the food before committing yourself to long-term meal plans. You can also pause or cancel at any time (however, they recommend giving it 6 weeks). For small dogs, there are ready-made meals; for bigger dogs, there are packs with 3 different tiers of size/weight combinations, so no matter how big your dog is, you’ll find one suitable option. The price per day depends on what kind of animal you have, but in general, it’s around $57 per day – not bad, considering that it’s 4-star gourmet food.
They are constantly looking for ways to improve their product, so sometimes they have specials running where you can get 10% off your first order or other exciting offers! They deliver orders nationwide in Australia, which takes 2-5 days, depending on the area. If there is no suitable spot outside your front door, you can request delivery inside your garage or bedroom instead. You’ll have to pay extra if you want them to take the old food away as well – but this is usually not necessary because Lyka delivers enough for about 14 days. There are no contract terms, so it’s easy to quit at any time – send an e-mail with “cancel subscription” in the subject title.
There’s a one-time joining fee of $9.95, but this will be deducted from your first delivery amount if you stick with it. In total, I found Lyka to offer good value for money and excellent customer service. It helped me feed my Butters in a way that he deserves – and I would recommend them for anyone looking for a great solution when feeding their best friend!
